In its baroque rooms, the New Kißlegg Palace showed different "visual languages" by contemporary artists from southern Germany. On display were works that reflected individual experiences of the world in different techniques and disciplines, with strong colors or fine lines, with attention to detail or with a large area. Works that open up a different view of the familiar and play challengingly with perception and patterns of interpretation.

The Schramberg Car and Watch World is located in the heart of the traditional watch and industrial town in the middle of the Black Forest. Four exhibitions are dedicated to the history of technology with regard to the automobile, watches and the diesel engine. Sometimes fragile and vulnerable, sometimes strong and self-confident, then again rebellious and demanding, 36 Pacemakers welcome their visitors to the Car and Watch Museum. In the atmosphere of popular motorization and the economic miracle, the works of Eva Bur am Orde created a very special tension. The exhibition shows the works of the Peace Maker and Peace Collection.

Additional event:
The trade and business association presented the picture series "Native Americans" and "Wild Horses" in many of its members' shop windows. A triptych of the Virgin Mary was on display in the Schramberg City Museum.

The Rottweil district has a high-quality art collection with over 700 individual works and groups of works. It documents artistic creation in the past and present within the region. The district's collection includes paintings and graphics, sculptures, objects and installations of museum quality. Using exemplary works, the special exhibition "Art in the District" illustrates the variety of forms of expression in the art of the 20th and 21st centuries, in which concepts and compositional means are in constant change. The large-format work "Jesus" by the artist Eva Bur am Orde is also on display.

With a series of paintings that is probably unique in its kind, the artist succeeds in building a bridge between classical Christian painting and modern art. 48 portraits of recognized peacemakers and environmentalists as well as several Madonna images, symbols of peace and tableaux of writing come together to form a unique work of art. Her message: a peaceful and environmentally friendly coexistence of all earth's inhabitants is possible.

Heroes under the sign of the dove of peace
Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, Bertha von Suttner, Sitting Bull, Martin Luther King, Carl von Ossietzky and many others: on impressive altarpieces they are grouped around depictions of the Madonna, stylized paintings of the globe and symbols of peace. Eva Bur am Orde also gives internationally little-recognized heroes a platform they deserve - such as the Soviet-Russian Lieutenant Colonel Stanislaw Yevgrafovich Petrov, whose prudent actions may have prevented the outbreak of a third world war. Or Liberia's former President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, who was honored for her reconciliatory government - and many more.
In the here and now, historical and contemporary personalities are united - across time, borders and religious barriers - and bring their moving plea for peace into the world. In this way, they become modern "apostles" who carry the original Christian mission of peace into the present day and at the same time campaign for the protection of all life.
