Peacemakers
A tribute to the unshakeable role models of global peace
Icons of peace and humanity
With the „Peace Makers” series, Eva Bur am Orde portrays visionary personalities who embodied the principle of peace and humanity in different eras and cultural contexts. These paintings are not only artistic works, but also a call for a universal global ethic in which respect and compassion take center stage. The intense colors and powerful compositions of the portraits reflect both the inner strength of these „Peace Makers” and the vulnerability that often accompanied their commitment.
Eva Bur am Orde shows us people like Bob Marley, Josephine Baker, Nelson Mandela and Greta Thunberg - all connected by their tireless work for a fairer world. The series captures not only the individuality of these personalities, but also their ability to overcome boundaries and build bridges between cultures and generations. The vibrant expressiveness of the colors and the graphic elements in the images create a deep dialogue about the universal values of peace, freedom and love.
With „Peace Makers”, the artist creates a series that inspires the viewer to reflect on the big questions of our time: How can we create a world in which peace prevails and how can we as individuals contribute to this ideal? Bur am Orde shows us that although these role models often had to fight against great odds, they never lost their belief in a better, more humane world - an ideal that she carries forward through her art.
